Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a 65-mil thick, premium grade, highly conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape.
Is a UL recognized component for applications up to 130°C (266°F)
Primary electrical insulation for cable and wire connections and vibration padding for motor leads rated up to 1000 volts
Thick construction allows quick application build–up and padding over irregular connections
Applicable over a temperature range of 32 to 100°F (0 to 38°C) without loss of physical properties

Scotch® Rubber Mastic Tape 2228 is a premium-grade, highly-conformable, self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape. This tape consists of an ethylene-propylene rubber (EPR) backing coated with an aggressive, temperature-stable mastic adhesive. Designed for applications up to 130 ⁰C, this option offers resistance to moisture and ultraviolet exposure and is intended for both indoor and weather-exposed outdoor environments.
